Hi gals:

It's nice to have a snuggly warm, pink and blue Bella blanket to cuddle in pre and post-race.  It's also nice to party with Bella pals while making the blankets.  :D

Who's in for the semi-annual blanket making party?

Time, date, location TBA.

I concur, they are very nice for sitting on esp at the TRACK!  So get one, Manda!  They wash up real well too and work well for padding your bike when packing it. The fabric holds up great.  I've used mine way more than I ever thought I would. Barb

Way Cool!

Count me in...when do you think you'll be doing these?
Shall we pick a rainy day so the bike isn't tempting!??!??

:)

Thanks for pulling one together - I really like it and have wanted to do a Fleece "Knot" blanket for a while - now I have something to look forward to!

Thanks again!

Brook - Cool!  I may let the party wait 'til fall, when it's chillier and the season is more about staying cozy.  We'll see!  Thank you, and I'll keep you posted.  :D

Sabine - That you?  Glad you like!  They are polar fleece.  Didn't we send you one of our blankies??  We made one for you . . .

Glad you like!

Sorry, none for sale, but they're super easy to make - just cut 'n tie.

I used some cool Steam 'n Seam sheets to iron on the kitty.  It's this webbing stuff that you put between the blankie and kitty, and then apply the iron - Presto!  Kitty is on the blankie permanently.  Same for the kitty eyes.

Have fun!

riiight...me make something craftsy.  Not likely to happen in this lifetime.  It takes me 6 months (ok, ok, a year) to get around to sewing missing buttons on shirts.

So much easier to whine pathetically until one of you more talented gals sell me one just to shut me up.   ;)

Wellllll, not that I want to make a habit or household business out of it.  But, hmmmm, I might be swayed for the right price.  ;)

:attack:  Soooo, what might said finished, adorable, warm, cozy, sweet n' lovely blankie be worth to ya?

Absolutely no idea.  How much are the materials and how long does it take you to make one?

I'm totally stoked to be making this in a group, because I know if I suddenly get attached to the blanket... -somehow-... someone will find a way to dettach me.

That said, dependent on which night this falls, I might be able to talk the boy into bartending. He's good at taking a look at what odds and ends are on hand and making something tasty... that has no regrets in the morning.

Hmmm, cost approximately $25-35 (possibly less or more, depending on price of polar fleece and steam 'n seam stuff, felt for eyes).  Time is (guessing here, big time) 1.5-2.5 hours (again, with kitty time included).  W/o kitty is less.

Plus, additional fee for back pain suffered from bending over allll that time = $10.  :?

Manda!  This is flippin hiLARious!  << I'm totally stoked to be making this in a group, because I know if I suddenly get attached to the blanket... -somehow-... someone will find a way to dettach me. >>

ok - so what figure would make it worth your while?  I'd throw in one of my famous cosmopolitans to help you get over your back pain, but it would be difficult to deliver.

I definately want the kitty.  The kitty rules.

Hey, you'd be amazed what FedEx can accomplish.  ;)

Well, tell ya what.  I'll go price out some polar fleece this weekend, and get back to you.  It's not like I couldn't use a bit o' $$ to spend on my bike.

I'll mail you Monday at the latest - have a super weekend!

There is still some blue satin laying around... ;-)  you never know when one of these things might pop up!

I found fabric on sale at Joanns  for blanket/capes, but here's a link for some satin that's being blown out for about $1/yd!
