One of our sponsors, BestBikeZone, is working on developing Paso Robles, their hometown,as a great place for road cyclists to visit. As such, they're looking for criteria to judge a hotel's "bicycle friendliness" by.
They are asking Bellas: "What makes a hotel "bicycle friendly" in your mind?". It would help them greatly in checking out our local hotels.
Please just reply here about what you look for in a hotel when you are travelling with your bike.

-Spacious rooms (to store bikes in)
-Staff who smile (best) when they see you ... or (next best) overlook the fact you are walking in with your (possibly muddy) bike after a ride
-Healthy breakfast options (free or restaurant)
-Ride maps, running maps available at front desk
-Partner with a local bike shop for discounted bike (+helmet) rentals, delivery of the rented bike to/from the hotel
-Basic tools available to borrow (e.g. floor pump, pedal wrench ... very helpful for visitors flying in with bikes that need assembly)
-& my favorite bike perk from the Comfort Suites in Fruita (CO): a notecard strategically placed beside a stack of 'makeup wipes', welcoming cyclists but warning you not to use the hotel towels to clean your bike. Unlimited makeup wipes available for bike cleaning
