Hi Kalamazoo Bellas (& friends)!

There is A LOT going on, so please be patient, scroll down, & take a good look through this message :)
(3 sections below....Our recent results; New women's weekly rides; Events & news)

The List I compiled below doesn't include races unless they are right in our backyard...race info is already available

ROAD RACES... for road races
MTB RACES... for mtb races

Is anyone else planning to do the Kal-Haven Trail Blazer this Saturday? If you are, please let everyone on this list know & try to coordinate your start time! Even if you/we ride at different speeds or distances, it would be fun to start together & take few pictures.

OUR RECENT RESULTS -- please remember to post your stories, results, photos (for rides OR races) at (racing section of the forum) !

NEW WEEKLY RIDES, women only

Every Thursday, on the trails, leaving Fort Custer MTB Trailhead at 6:30 pm: Women's MTB ride, all skill levels welcome. Cathy Bagi (one of the organizers of the Fort Custer Stampede) invites ALL women to join this ride, plus Cathy is willing to help with skills and technique. I know I will be taking advantage of this ... free technique coaching? Yes please!

Every Thursday, on the road, leaving Johnson Cycle Works at 5:30 pm (no drop ride), 5:45 pm (faster ride).
What is a no drop ride? A ride where everyone is welcome regardless of pace, and the ride either maintains the pace of the slowest rider who shows up that day, OR a designated ride leader stays with the slower group(s) to make sure everyone gets back safe and sound. In other [url]

May 15 -- The 1st "Tuesday Night Time Trial" of 2012, offered by the Kalamazoo Bicycle Club
Monica says: This is my (not so) secret weapon :) Seriously, the TNTT is a fantastic training tool. Do it a couple of times this summer and it WILL make you a faster cyclist, triathlete, or duathlete.
FREE to KBC members, these are practice races that are held 2x/month through the summer on a 10 mile, flat road course. Riders start 30 seconds apart and ride as fast as they can, no drafting.
Whether you're looking to test yourself against the clock throughout the summer, want to test drive a time trial but don't want to sign up for a race, or just need a hard workout (feel free to run afterwards to get your "brick" workout in), this is a phenomenal training tool.
You do NOT need a time trial bike. All KBC members are welcome.

May 24 - Scott demo day at Pedal bicycles. Contact for details.

Come learn what bike racing is all about! The Priority Health Cycling Team is hosting a FREE Race Clinic on the BTR race course on Friday evening from 6:45pm – 8:45pm. This is a great opportunity to learn the basics for bike racing. For the seasoned racer, come sharpen your skills by practicing on the BTR course and helping some of the newer ladies. Meet at WMU’s BTR park at 6:45 to check in, instruction begins promptly at 7:00. This is an ‘on-bike’ clinic so come prepared to ride. This is an excellent opportunity to practice racing skills for all categories and a perfect first race opportunity for new racers to attend a clinic on the actual race course the day before the event
