I had to kick down and do Snelling.  I had never raced in that one but I needed a RR under my belt before Madera. This was my option due to schedule conflicts.  The group was seasoned and safety was not an issue. Weather was nice (I was one of only two in shorts but that is how I like it).  I struggled on the first lap and had to catch back on once or twice (I was told that was due to me not riding my bike for 10 days prior).  After that, things were good.  I stayed with the group and finished 13th out of 23.  I was happy with that.   I am working hard and trying to make sure I do not leave anything on the table.  I need some work on getting into a better position just before sprints.   All in due time, all in due time.  Thanks

Our start time was 12:25 which helped.  I think maybe in the 48-52 degree category.  I had knee warmers on and my neoprene booty covers when I went out to warm up.  Too hot for me so I took them off.  I did use a toe cover.  I had my LS jersey on with a sleeveless t-shirt under.  No headcover.  The sun was shining the entire time.  Small puddles only and easy to avoid.  Potholes were filled to but not the "quality job".  I noticed a lot of "no shows" .  I use only weather.com and they seems to be best.  No prediction there of rain or snow.  I did notice, however, rubber duckies in the puddles.  They were SCARY!  I was so happy I ventured out. I drove down with Phyllis O.
