Okay. We now have five women interested in ordering a Velo Bella wool jersey for 2010. If we can get up to 12 women (which is where the qty break begins), I would be willing to assemble an order through Oregon Cyclewear. Please look at the link below. including sizing information, to see if this interests you:

http://www.oregoncyclewear.com/woolcyclingjersey.html

To keep things simple, I'd propose a black longsleeve wool jersey. This would allow it to be worn with VB kit current or previous, from any era, and black looks classy no matter what. It looks like these would come with a white stripe across the chest and rear pockets. If that's the case I'd propose using the Velo Bella type face, also in black (the art file is SOMEwhere at our site but I haven't found it yet) across the front. If the jersey is all black then I'd prpose doing the text in light blue or white so it shows up against the black.
Any fancier than that (the kitty, the girl on the bike, etc.) and things start to get a lot spendier.

One or two lines of embroidered type costs 13.00 per jersey.
12 or more jerseys in LS cost 57.00 each.
I haven't yet heard back as to what custom art set-up charge would be, so let's estimate cost of this jersey coming in at around $75.00 to 80.00 each after custom art is factored in. I would be sure to get an exact quote before opening the order, but this is just an estimate.
For a long-sleeved merino wool jersey that's actually a very good price.
(Of course, this would NOT include the cost of my shipping it to you once the jerseys are done.)

Please look at their web site and lemme know if this is something more of you would be interested in. I would propose taking all orders prepaid sometime in March for summer delivery.

I'd be interested in one of these in the $70 range.

I can't promise to get the price that low unless a whole bunch of women order jerseys.
A better quantity break for long sleeve jerseys with artwork goes down after something like 25 or more. But 75 to 80 is probably doable.

Okay. If the previous respondents are all in we're at ten (An eleventh respondent said she'd do it for 70 bucks but I can't guarantee that price. I suspect it'd be closer to 75-80 for a LS jersey with "Velo Bella" text embroidered on front for twelve.

Need at least 12 to begin compiling an order and moving forward with artwork et al. I anticipate placing order sometime in April at latest in order to ensure time for approval of artwork and late summer delivery. Todd says he's out of black jerseys but will have more by April if we place an order.

Unfortunately, I can't commit at this time.  If I have the money when it comes time to pony up I'll get one, but that isn't looking very likely right now.

We now have 12, including me.
(Ta-daaaaah!)

I will contact Todd at Oregon Cyclewear to begin figuring out a price quote.
If you haven't yet checked out Oregon Cyclewear, PLEASE do so soon:

http://www.oregoncyclewear.com/woolcyclingjersey.html

It's important to remember that all jerseys they offer are UNISEX -- AKA MENS' sizing.
This may mean longer sleeves when buying to fit a particular chest size.
If it helps: I have one of their longsleeve "trainers" (slightly heavier-weight jersey) and the mens' LARGE fits my 42" chest and very long arms nicely. Your experience may vary.
Also, their jerseys are 100 % Merino wool, machine wash, line/flat dry (I dry mine on an indoor clothesline, takes a couple of days), with minimal shrinkage.

As soon as I have pricing and turnaround info I will share it with the team, along with an ABSOLUTE deadline for ordering (don't worry, it'll be a ways out there).

I am anticipating using the Velo Bella text artwork found elsewhere at this site. If that won't work we'd probably have to go with a regular embroidered script. Stay tuned and thanks in advance for your patience.

Beth
