How do I create a smaller line break space?

You might have noticed that hitting the "enter" or return key will give you a double line break (or, whats called a paragraph break). To get a smaller line break, just hit "shift" while hitting return or enter.

How Do I Change the Size of the Font?

You can choose "font size" or "format" from the edit grid to change font sizes. Note that the default size font is 12px, so if you want a font larger or smaller than that, choose accordingly. The editor screen is buggy and it will show font size 12 as larger than your current font, but its really the same size.

Using the font sizes from the "format" section are pretty true to the WYSIWYG. Just note that the Heading 1 format is the same format used in the post title, so avoid using that one.

Why doesn't a photo from my post show up on the home page?

 

For a photo to show up on the home page summary of the post, the photo must be uploaded to wordpress through that post. Usually this is accomplished with the "add media" button. If you just link to a photo instead, it won't work

How do the categories work?

We have the following "parent" categories:

News - general announcements (usually posted by me, but anyone can as well)
Reports - race and ride reports (Jen See and regional coordinators)
Results - race results (posted by Soni and Miss Mary)
Tips and Tidbits - training, racing, nutiruction, etc tips (anyone can post)
Yakity Yak - everything else! (anyone can post)

Reports and Results also have subcategories. If you need to select a subcategory, you do not also need to select its parent category. For example, if you are posting a race report for NorCal, you only need to select norcal.

Here's an example of the Flickr thingie

This photo was uploaded to the Velo Bella flickr account and added to both the NorCal and the Norcal profiles sets

In Flickr, I used her name for the photo title and input her bellaresume thingie in the description.

The photo will then show up in the VB Gallery on our website (sometimes it takes a little while to come over)

On the editing menu bar, you should see three rows of editing icons. If you only see two, click on the last icon on the upper bar (Hide/Show Kitchen Sink) and that should open up all the rows.

When all rows are showing, the first icon on the second row is the Insert Table icon. If you click that, a dialog box will come up that allows you to specify how many rows and columns. ITs a little tricky to work with though
