Sadly, I'll be moving that weekend. So, if anyone wants to help move boxes instead of ride, let me know.

For those riding, what course are you doing? The options are 30, 62 and 100 miles.
Personally, I'm doing the 62-mile route.
Y'all?

i signed up for the 62 mile.. but that's way dependent on the weather.
If it's above 45 and DRY, I could be talked into the 100 miles....
Below 35 and wicked windy, and I will likely opt for 35 miles
Of course, all is subject to change...
Anyone do this ride before? How early do we need to get there?

Rider Check-in: 6:30am-9:30am
Ride Begins: 6:30am
- 100 mile riders must begin by 8:30am
- 30 mile + 62 mile riders must begin by 9:30am
Route Support: Begins 6:30am; Ends 5:30pm
Ride Ends: 5:30pm
I've done the ride a few times in the past. Parking becomes more and more of an issue, the later you arrive. I'd like to start riding no later than 8:30, if possible. Earlier is fine, too.
We should plan to arrive, say, 30 min prior to start time. We'll need to make sure we all find each other so we can start as a group.
The more riders we have, the nicer paceline we can form to fight any wind. Might be nice to keep that in mind for ultimate route choice.

I'm signed up for the 62 mile, but may change my mind.
Is the course flat or hilly?

Rolling, with a couple real hills. That's my recollection, at least. I didn't ride it last year.
Is there a description on the website abve? Or does anybody else have a clearer picture?
Kate - might change your mind to what route from 62?

Might change to the shorter route if the weather is bad. Not ready for my century yet, as I've only ridden about 85 miles outside so far this year!

So, gals who are actually COMMITTED to this ride:
Can we, as a group, please commit to a distance? i.e., 62 mi route? With a caveat of doing the 30 if the weather is super crappy?
I'd really like to "know" I'm going to have teammates to ride with. Doesn't make much sense to drive to Lakeville just to ride alone. Might just as well ride here in town in that case.

i says hells yeah. let's do 62 miles.
anyone wanna carpool?
i'll help pay for gas!
Oakland, California totally spoilted me. I'm REALLY REALLY cranky at the prospect of driving to go ride... and I'm bad at driving back (no! we must drive back to mpls, so i don't have to settle from crappy scary fast food!).

Yea, Kate!!!
Carpooling, we have a new van this year and it doesn't have the trailer doo-hickey which it needs before we can use our bike rack. However, I could probably fit 3-4 bikes 'n people in it. That is, if you want to meet at my house in Roseville for the drive down. From there, it's a straight shot down 35E to the ride start.
Jersey loans - I have a large, full zip someone can borrow. It's even pretty roomy, so you could probably layer underneath it.
Meeting spot - We can gather in front of the school, next to the sidewalk. It's pretty easy to spot folks there.
Anyone else have other ideas for the above? PLEASE feel free to speak out.

What time should we meet at your house?

Michael and I will drive down in my little car, so I don't need a ride. I'll try to leave at 7:30 as well so I get there at the same time as youse guys.

I would love to borrow a jersey. Is you offer still good?
I'm all for carpooling, I can fit 3-4 people in my car if anybody has extra bike carriers for a Tully(?) roof-rack.

Uh, could we agree on a meeting time in Northfield? 9? Can't wait for 64 miles on Durand legs. Woo Hoo!
Speaking of Annemeik, Ya know, she looks kind of like Sydney's mom on Alias (played by Isabella Rossellini). Another Bella TV show sighting is that Sarah's BF looks suspiciously like Fahid who just got it from Jack on 24. And so it goes.

Say Manda (and anyone else who is riding with us to Lakeville),
We should actually probably plan to leave my place no later than 7:15 (Mapquest says 38 minutes to get to Lakeville). Can ya deal with arriving at 7:00ish, so we can get things loaded to blast off?
I'll make sure and have some coffee for you . . .
Anyone else riding with us??
