No races for me this summer; I probably wouldn't be too fast with my tummy all smushed up in my lungs and my belly resting on the top tube  . But, I'll be out there cheering you all on!

Is there such a thing as categories for tri-ath-e-leetes?
BTW, would everyone please ADD what category you race? If you are a newbie for road races and crits, that makes you a category 4.

Hmmm, yes and no. Nothing like bike racing.
There are pros, of course. But most triathletes are amateurs, and are broken into two groups - elites and age groupers.
Elites are those who are competing for overall placings. Most of us are age groupers, excepting our talented Ms. Rocker, who usually races as an elite. Age groupers are broken out in 5-year age groups. So, awards/placings are given to the overall male and female winners, and then to age group winners as well.
Within the amateurs, there are also Clydesdales (men over 200 lbs) and Athenas (women over 150 lbs).

Is the race roster done? Did I miss the boat?? I'll have you know that I proudly registered for my first racing license last week. Cat 4, baby!
And I know I still need to get a photo and bio to Manda. That will be my goal by Friday. Wish me luck.

hey chicas - sorry I've been MIA from the Bella Blogs n stuff...
To reply to this one --- I'll be training for the Iron(wo)man Triathlon on Sept. 10th in Madison WI!! My first LONG triathlon...and only my 4th total triathlon by the time I do it. SO, my calendar so far is as follows:
Chisago Lakes Tri (1/2 Iron(wo)Man)
Turtleman Tri
IRON(wo)MAN
Iron Girl Duathlon
Green Bay Duathlon
and probably some other du's along the way
I hope to see y'all out on the roads! I'm going to need peeps to train with!

Regular trainin rides, NOW Bike and Fitness: Sat at 9 AM, Tuesdays at 6 PM, Snelling Arden Hills on Wednesdays. Sundays are for now open, but hopefully a regular hill or more challenging ride will happen.
