The first XC MTB race of the season in Tennessee is a week from Sunday! This is historically a very large race. The 2007 race saw 365 racers with 17 kids competing in the FREE children's race. The park gets very crowded and the atmosphere is festive.
Another thing that usually happens is...the Bellas are out in force!
If you plan on showing, try to wear something pink and connect with the team. Believe me, they are usually the loudest ones there. :-)
Since I did 5 'cross races in January flying Bella colors, I'll be switching to the blue-and-orange Team Wood-N-Wave jersey for the next few races. This group is usually one of the biggest at Chickasaw, and there are only about three girls on the team. I'll be the curvy brunette in braids in a WNW kit, all the way down to the blue and orange shorts. So, I won't be in Bella colors, but I'll be hard to miss. :-) I'll be in the Sport women group.
Several TN Bellas will be competing in Bella colors....Jennifer M. in expert category, Molly G. in expert, me(Angela B.) in Sport, Amy C. in Sport...others? I know I'm forgetting people...chime in!
Emily F. will be there cheering on a loved one, as will Wendy S. and others.
