My name is Candace and I've recently joined Velo Bella and have been cycling recreationally for 5+ years in the Ft. Lauderdale area.
A group of women from our coed cycling club get together for Tues & Thurs evening rides outside of our regular weekend club rides and decided we wanted to get a jersey to set us apart. Something more femme. We looked on Team Estrogen for jerseys and saw Velo Bella. One of our members told us that the jersey was part of a bigger grass roots women's cycling club and that was it. I checked out VB's website and many of the profiles and pics and you ladies look like you're having a rockin' blast.
The jerseys are ab fab and now we even have an "Oh La La" Ride set for October 27th with our club. Unbeknownst to our club members, the Velo Bellas will be sporting VB jerseys & dressing up in something sassy. We'll post the pics when we get them.
Oh yeah, I did have a male member come up to me last week when I was wearing the VB jersey & say, "You know you're wearing a jersey from a team of very strong women riders."
