so, i'm definitely not up for racing yet (though I get to really start training on Thursday when my stuff finally arrives from Japan - to include my cycling shoes), but i might try to come up and cheer you guys on. we need to go to san jose to buy furniture anyway so we'll be in the neighborhood.

I heard there was a crash in the 4s involving some Bellas at Timpani. Any word? I heard that Tracy L and Katie might have gone down?

Tracy has a broken pelvis ... she went to a hospital in [Sunnyvale?] and then Tim drove her back to Fresno. Her mom Nancy told us they had a helluva time getting her out of the van and needed to get the local Firemen to assist.
I will be talking to Nancy today and will report any and all info that I get from her ...
Tracy is seeing a specialist today.

Hey All
Tim here on this end. Wanted to let everybody know how Tracy is doing. She is in a lot of pain, heavily medicated and sleeping well. She has a good fracture in her pelvis and took a good hit to the head. There is not a lot the Docs can do, so she is bound to the bed until the pain eases some. All the good vibes from all the Bellas are much appreciated or if y'all are the praying type those are welcome too.
Will keep you all posted

What a weird crit yesterday! Lots of bunching and psuedo attacks. People touching and braking at weird places (straightaways). We were all set up to dominate (really).
The conversation in the medic tent was all about how many crashes their were yesterday in every field. They were busy. I iced my knee next to a girl who hurt her elbow-- her boyfriend also took a bad spill and they had to drive back to SLO.
I feel so bad for Tracy-- my little injuries are nothing in comparision. I just got back from the doc- sprained medial collatoral in the knee. I got some tegaderm for the road rash (great stuff that works like a second skin). I can see why people give up on crits.
Major prayers/bella beams/good thoughts going out to Tracy. Denise was great-- she made sure we were okay and stayed with Tracy until the fire truck came.

I took Tracy's xrays to the Doc this morning and her hip was dislocated as well. Apparently that is what is causing all the pain. She has been sleeping and doing her best to keep hydrated and upbeat. She appreciates all the good vibes and looks forward to being back out there with yall.

So sorry to hear all this, must have been a terrible impact. The hip bone is the most difficult to dislocate. Our thoughts are with you, damn we're starting to develop a injured support group...not good.

Hi Sabine,
Just want to wish the best to Tracey and Katie. Sarah Holmes (Protech) assisted Tracey after the accident and could fill you/her in more if you like. The response time by the officials was poor to react and Sarah was the one who called 911 and gave directions.
I spoke to Denise a bit after the race. I was back a bit and did not see what happened. Laurie from Metromint said she did hear a tire blow, someone else stated that a manhole cover was an issue.
Please pass on our healing thoughts to the Bellas.

Tracy just underwent surgery to repair her hip. She was lucky to find a local surgeon and is in a hospital in Fresno. Tim has (some beautilfully written) updates here
