Hi there,
Auburn is presenting its first "Auburn Crit" on May 24th. We are trying to get into the spirit like Nevada City does with its historic race. See the NCNCA.ORG page for details. There will be a hill or two in this Crit.
I am working on a plan for hosting a weekend for Bellas if it all works out. Something like the following:
Saturday - Auburn local ride 2-4 hours
Sunday - RACE and warm-up/cool down ride
Optional -Monday the Holiday (2-4 hour ride & skill practice) or MTB Ride!!
If you're interested in racing and a full weekend plan, e-mail me from our Bella Boards so I can get a feel for how many people. I will work out some host housing with other local Bellas where possible and plan the rides.
Bella Fellas too!

Julie,
I was looking at this crit--registration is up but not too many details. Like i can't really find a flyer or full race announcement--just a link to a blog but little details there. Do you have any more information on this or is there a link we're missing? Thanks!

I was thinking of doing that one since it's pretty close to Reno. Could be fun with a big group - Auburn's such a neat area.

I noticed the details were a little shy too. This is what I know:
Crit will be about .8 mile loop, in the Downtown Auburn area, there are hills. They are finalizing the plan with the city since street closures are involved.
Jim Northerly is the main sponsor with Victory Velo a secondary sponsor. I will e-mail Jim about posting more details. He is a big promoter of 24 hour MTB races and endurance events.
I did like the choice of Womens 1,2,3 or 3,4. though.
