Michael is starting up a coaching service! If you've read his articles, or ridden with him, then you know how motivating he can be.

His rate is only $125/month for a customized training plan! He'll ride with you to learn your strengths, riding style, etc.

He is also a great tactician. I know that my level of tactical racing went through the roof once I started learning from him.

More info here:

and you can contact him at:
pedalhome@hotmail.com

also, feel free to contact me if you have questions...

Your man is cheap! :)

What are your thoughts on coaching for a super-duper beginner like myself?  Too early, or would it be helpful?

Its never really to early. It just depends on what you are trying to achieve. Coaching works best if you have some kind of goal in mind though.

If you have a good coach, early is better than later because you can stop bad habits before they become too entrenched to break!

And, in my opinion, I think Michael's motivational style works especially best for beginners.

I have worked w/ Michael and can vouch that he's an awesome coach.  He sooo helped me last year - from sprinting, to learning out to do intervals, to race tactics - and always positive!
