is happening here in San Jose on the 13th of July.

I signed up to do the 50 mile ride. Yes me, the
mountain biker who hasn't ridden her road bike in a
year or so, and the farthest distance I've ever ridden
on the road was around 26 miles.

But I'm riding
for a woman named Susan who has been diagnosed with
breast cancer, and feel like my suffering through fifty miles on a road bike is
nothing compared to what she's going through.

I thought others might like to sign up also (there's a walk and a run too), or if you are so inclined I'd be honored if you cared to sponsor me.

That is awsome you are doing this for your friend. She will be honored!!! You will have a good time. I did the Livestrong Challenge in Portland last year. It was a blast and for such a great cause. ( I can still say that after it rained for the entire 100 miles, I am a Mountain biker also). It is really well supported also. I think we all know someone who has fought the battle against cancer, so get out there to honor them and support them!!!
