Happy new(ish) year, everyone!
Just wanted to let you know about two early season races that are coming up soon....If you're planning to do Barry-Roubaix, please reply to this message or PM me. I'd like to get a group photo .... us and our flair, of course!
The first is the traditional season kickoff, Fisk Knob Time Trial on March 21st. With a nice rolling course, and unpredictable weather (75o? 30o? snow? ice? wind? dry?), this is a fun way to test your base fitness & set goals for later in the season.

The second is a personal favorite, the second running of "Barry-Roubaix, The Killer Gravel Road Race" on March 27th. With course options for everyone (23 miles, 35 miles, 65 miles), some tough climbs that no one knew existed in this part of Michigan, "any bike goes" (mtb, cross, hybrid, or road ... expect a little hike a bike section if you're on a road bike), and promoter Kisscross events' proven "fun first" recipe for success, this little race is Michigan's best kept secret .... but not for long ... many have said this will be Michigan's "next iceman": the next must-do race that becomes so popular that it's tough to get in to. p.s. Sheila Moon is returning as a sponsor for this event .... and in true Kisscros fashion, prizes are awarded randomly to participants, not just for podium finishers !

Hello Monica!
I am down with for the Barry-Roubaix race and have been training for the last 7 weeks at least once a week. This weekend the goal is to ride the entire 35 miles of the course. I will register today for the sport section. See ya there. Snowboarding this weekend so I will miss the Kisscross in GR.

I think I'm IN for the Time Trial!
Do you have any additional info on this? I'm part of the new Cincinnati Velo Bella group. Will be traveling to Interlochen to pick up my daughter from school and can't resist a March TT. ;-)
