At long last, a regularly scheduled michigan bella ride!!
Thursdays, 5:30pm Hines Drive
Thursday evening: we will meet up at 5pm in the parking lot on the east side of andiamo restaurant on michigan avenue in dearborn. the nearest main cross street is oakwood blvd to the west. from here we will roll out onto the bike path/road at 5:30 through UofM Dearborn and Henry Ford nature areas and out to where hines drive begins at ford road and head toward northville.

for those who can't make it by 5:30: you could also meet up with us anywhere along the way! I am guessing that we should pass nankin mills around 6pm or 6:15.

well it finally happened!! a group ride with real, live, michigan velo bellas 
in attendance were: myself, kristel, andrea, amy, and our velo fella joe. it was cool, almost cold, and pretty darn windy but kristel did a fab job pulling us all through hines park at a rockin' pace  .
luckily amy and joe's emergency wrench stop worked out well with a bit of help from bike sport and they met up with us on the return trip. on the way to the ride some lunatic hit their bikes on the trunk rack and drove off !! !! !! but the only real casualty was joe's deraileur which was bent back into shape right away by the wrench at bike sport. Whew!!
the ride was unanimously voted a success- and we're doing it again next thursday!

I had a lot of fun! It was windy and I was working hard to keep the pace! I look forward to riding again next week. It was nice meeting you Kristel. I definitely hope to become a stronger roadie this year with the weekly rides. I think it will also help me become stronger for MTBing.

this ride is happening again tomorrow- May 15thso come out and join us.
the weather report is calling for clouds, and mid-60 degree temps... but no rain!!
