I finally got my order from Primal Wear. More later, but real quick like I wanted to show this pic of the bella shorts compared to the sample.

Primal Wear will be getting this pic too. They stand ready to correct, they were just waiting on me to get my order and do this type of comparison. I'll address all issues with them and get back to you guys asap!

I kinda liked how there was a little chunk of white belly hanging out between the top of my prima shorts and the bottom of the jersey. So nouveau plumber.

HI Jennifer

I am otherwise very happy with the other items from Primal Wear. For the price, the jersey is the best I have seen. Light, comfy and with big pockets! So as long as Primal Wear can sort out this short issue we will do another order with them for sure!

Also, I have some extra jerseys. I'm not sure of exactly what yet, but by Monday I should post what I have available for sale.

The Tiame short was meant to be a shorter short, but even that one is about an inch shorter than the sample i was sent. Also, it was supposed to have black flatlock stitching.

As I mentioned, ALL the issues were addressed with Scott. The skinsuits just don't make as funny as a picture.

He's talking to the owner and I am waiting to hear back. More later as soon as I know.

I need to chime in here with a new issue.  The Tiame shorts (with the blue flatlock stitching that should have been black)... my friend Emily, who is very thin (no body fat) wore her Tiames for a ride and the stitching is popping/pulling out.  I know what you're thinking... that she was trying to wear a sze that is too small for her.  Well, no.  She is a size 6 and the shorts are Mediums.  She's not very happy, so I told her I'd post it here.  Anyone else having their stitching popping?

I will mention that to Scott. In the meantime, this is more of a product warranty issue rather than an order mixup issue, and she can contact Primal Wear's customer service directly for that.

I wear a size 6 and ordered the medium and they were way too small. I got a large and they fit well. I never wear a large but these shorts just run small. Hers could just be too tight. My stitching isn't coming out but if I wore the mediums I am sure that it would...

Oh and I like the blue stitching!

Thought I'd chime in here with my story. I got the bib knickers and really LOVE them. However, the seam is coming loose on the front leg. I ordered up, so they aren't too small and that's unusual for something to be long enough for me. So, on that front, I love them. I'm not sending them back but will take them to be repaired.

As far as the shorts, thankfully, I ordered up a size and got a large, too. They are still a little lowrise. I figure if I start to get a roll it's time to cut back on the fuel. :-) Thankfully, the bike tops are long and cover the potential plumber's problem.

UPdate!!

Scott at Primal Wear has assured me that we will all be 100% satisfied with our clothing order. If you have an issue with the shorts and/or skinsuits and you have not done so already, please do NOT send them back to Primal Wear. Primal Wear will be replacing these items for us, but they do NOT need us to send back the shorts/skinsuits we have.

Shorts - Scott is sending me samples of a replacement item(s) for the shorts. We want to make certain it meets our needs. Once we give the go ahead, they will do another run of shorts/bibs. I'm not yet certain how the process will work, more info as soon as I have it. But the bottom line is that if you are unhappy with your shorts or bibs, you will get a replacement item.

Skinsuits - They are working on sizing for a women's skinsuit right now and will do another run for us. Again, not certain of how the details of this will work, but if you are unhappy with the fit of your skinsuit you will be offered a replacement.

They will get these items into a super fast production run so that we have them as soon as is possible.

Vests/Jackets - Even though sizing errors on these items were not Primal Wear's fault, they want us all to be happy and have agreed to address this for anyone affected. Just contact Scott at Primal Wear 303-745-8442 scott.k@primalwear.com to make arrangements for this

Quality issues - if you have an issue with the quality of an item, as in the stitching in the post above, contact Scott and they will make good!

Thanks everyone for your patience on this!

Sabine

Wow, I am impressed my Primal wear's responsiveness.  I like to think I'm pretty darn petite, but I think everyone when in cycling position will have a little skin pudging out at the top of the low-cut shorts!! Whoever said above that it seems the Prima short pattern got mixed up with a tri short, I think they are right!

Okay, I'll chime in a little on some of the clothing issues I've experienced. With regard to the above quote, I made the mistake of ordering a medium vest because at one time or another, I read on the clothing thread that the vests were women's specific and even though I typically wear a women's small, all the comments led me to believe that sizing was running small enough for me to order up one size. The comment regarding sizing may have been corrected later, but I don't check messages every day and thought I'd done enough research about sizing to order the correct size. Anyway after I received my (incomplete but fully charged) order, I did send an e-mail to Scott explaining the vest issue and he essentially said "Sorry, but all I've got are mediums so you're out of luck." Additionally, like the rest of us, I placed my order in late August and didn't receive anything until late December. When my package arrived, it didn't contain the two pairs of gloves I'd ordered. Long story short, the gloves arrived last week, were also too big and only one pair was shipped to me. So, my jersey fit my broad shoulders, but the body is loose and blousy, the shorts are WAY too short, the vest fits me like a dress and the gloves are too big. That, and the amount of my original order never did reflect a discount. I was under the impression that costs would be discounted when the final order went in as long as mimimum numbers were reached. It's hard for me to believe that nothing I ordered qualified for any sort of discount. I'm really disappointed because I love this year's designs and want to be wearing my new kit. As far as Scott wanting everyone to be happy and satisfied with their order, I certainly didn't feel like he was very interested in helping me. Just my two cents worth.

I have to admit that I am frustrated over this issue with the shorts. These things were order in August... The fact that we had to wait months for the order which was messed up and when given the chance to send new samples for a reorder and then messed up again is frustrating. I paid over $80 for the shorts, which was overpriced imo in the first place. This mess up should have been taken care of by this point. I believe this is over a month after the problem became apparent. If I was the rep at PW I'd be embarrased. Unfortunately I do not believe I can recommend PW to anybody at this point.

On another note my husbands team ordered their kits and had them in their hands in about a month. Their kits are through Sugoi and are very nice and they were about the same price as ours - maybe a little more or less.... They have over a hundred members.

I don't mean to be negative but any other business that would take so
long to redress a problem such as this would lose my business as well.

I just posted this to the Velo Bella Yahoo race group, but I wanted to make sure everyone sees it!!!

Hi Bellas.

I spoke with Scott at Primal Wear today regarding the shorts and skinsuits. I explained to him that many women on our team were told to hold on to their items, and they would receive instructions later on how to return them. He seemed very surprised by this, but he has come up with a solution that he hopes will make everyone happy.

If you have a pair of shorts or a skinsuit that you are not happy with, please email Scott at Scott Kemball-Cook <scott.k@primalwear. com>.
You'll need to tell him your 1) name 2) which item you have (including type of shorts), 3) your size and 4) your address. He will put together an order to have those items made, and will send the new item to you as soon as it's ready. Since these are custom items, they take time to make. PLEASE EMAIL HIM AS SOON AS POSSIBLE so he can get the order together by the beginning of next week. The sooner things go into production, the sooner you get your replacement!

I have to say that I've found Primal Wear's customer service to be fantastic. There were DEFINITELY some problems with the shorts and skinsuits, but they are doing everything they can to make it right. I think that somewhere there was a communication disconnect, which was as much our fault as theirs. In the past week, I've spoken with Scott numerous times, and have found him incredibly responsive and willing to do whatever necessary to fix the situation.

I hope this helps. In the meantime, if you want to order a jersey (black or white) or Gemini tank, you have until Thursday! I've gotten more than enough orders to meet the minimum of each item, so if you want something just let me know.

I just spoke with Scott, and he's putting in the re-order for the shorts tomorrow morning. If you have a pair of shorts you would like to exchange, you MUST EMAIL HIM TODAY, MARCH 29th. Once the order goes in, we can not add more on.
