Hey Ladies,

There seems to have been a mix-up in the skinsuit order. If you ordered a Women's but received a Men's (with a women's chamois?) and would like to try and have this corrected, please post here so that I know how many were wrong.

Before I contact Primal Wear I'd like to get a head count.

Thanks,

-mm

So Far:

Miss Mary Perez- 1 Large
Katie Stonbraker- 2 Large
Sarah Clatterbuck- 1 Large
Natasha Perry- 1 Medium

You might also want to email to velobellarace Yahoo! Group to make sure you catch those who are not watching the boards right now.

Yes, the chamois appears to be the same as in all the other shorts, so I'm assuming the women's chamois.

Gosh... didn't even notice if mine was women's or men's. I called Primal (and they are exchanging for me) my skin suit. It had some faulty stitching at the very bottom of the suit which made it look terrible. hmmm I'll have to take a peak. Sadly...if it was the men's....I think I really liked the way it fit. :)

Mine was a Men's large. For me a Men's medium would fit fine on this sprinters body :). The rest of order was a total loss though accept for a tank top that I got for training in hot weather.

AS far as the shorts are concerned tho,....and their utter lack of rise and no leg length, I'd rather have Men's medium shorts - if the men's shorts fit like the skinsuit does it will a wonderful compromise. I've already told the company I am sending everything back except the tank top. I'm totally disappointed with PW.

I have a few men's skinsuits and the size medium works well for me.  Long shorts are good since I have a lot of saggy skin from losing 130 lbs...  Actually, mens shorts work better for me than women's so keep me in mind if the situation cannot be corrected with Primal.

I emailed Natasha about wanting the mens Med skinsuit...and now I'm just searching for the courage to ask my husband for the money.  UGH, off-topic, I know, but this is my only drawback.

I'll check out the yahoo group for the smaller, more normal-sized gals in the Cinci Bellas...

Miss Mary -

I ordered a women's medium and received a men's medium which is waaaaay too big.  If we can get these exchanged that would be awesome, because there's no way I can wear this!  :)

I listed this elsewhere but my womens-specific vest turned out to be mens/unisex and would fit four of me. Can we exchange or get refund?

OK... silly question here... are we REALLY sure these are men's...or did they simply put the wrong tag on them? (My tag says men's XL)

I am quite tall so I always get an XL in everything. When I tried mine on, it appears to fit as a women's XL. I suspect if it were a men's XL it would be gigantic. (Or maybe again.... both women's and men's run extremely small?)

I think that should be considered, because honestly...even though it says men's XL, I really do not believe it is a men's XL. Were there different graphics for the men's skin suits? That would clear it up.

It's definitely a men's specific skin suit - the torso is waaaay long, definitely not designed for women.

it's definitely men's sizing, or perhaps a mixture of mens/womens, but however they were designed, they are ridiculously sized. They felt like long & wide pajamas on me. And I'm a big girl...

At the risk of opening the floodgates:

I just spoke with the folks at Primal. I was super-polite and friendly, and started off my thanking them for the good fit of their womens jersey. That seemed to help smooth the vibe of the conversation a lot.

They're not sure WHO advised me that vests and jackets would be womens' cut but they are willing to take back my [mens' 3X] vest for a refund. I'm sending it off in Saturday's mail.

The fit issue on the shorts and skinsuits seems like another thing altogether, but they were certainly willing to help me out.
Bummed I won't have a vest for 2010 but I'm please with Primal's willingess to deal.

If anyone out there ordered a [mens] Large wind vest and finds it too big, I will gladly buy it off them. Lemme know.

Happy riding, and happy new year --
Beth

:( I also got 2 men's medium skin suits, a men's medium jacket, wind vest, and wind jacket. the shorts are in a cut that was not noted onthe order form (very low rise) not a typical race cut. Primal dropped the ball on this one, they need to be held responsible, re-do the order so that ladies have clothes for this season and give a healthy discount for the problems caused. Here we are going into January with no race kits that are either not usable or not complete.

Thanks Miss Mary for helping out, I also will be contacting primal on Monday, they should also pay for all return postage as this was their mistake!

LEt's make them responsible as a group!

I asked Primal if they would reimburse for return postage and was told "probably not".
When I asked why I was told that it was "unclear" whose fault it really was. However, I decided not to press the issue since they said they would take back my vest for a refund. (I feared if I pressed the issue they'd change their minds; and I figured that six stamps on a first class packet was not a big deal.)

In any event, I will watch my bank statement in the next month or so and see when the refund shows up.

Just getting back from vacation.

It was always noted that vests/jackets were Unisex, or men's sized. There were several disclaimers about this. All items were men's (or Unisex, same thing) sized unless it was specifically noted as women.

The skinsuits should have been women's sized. It looks like Primal Wear is exchanging.

The Tiame shorts should not have had the blue stitching. reports that they are exchanging.

There must have been a change to the Prima shorts because the ones we tried on did not have a low rise problem. Sorry about that. Not sure yet what can be done about that.

Thanks everyone.

Scott at primal is heading up the issues. He said they are re-making all shorts, skin suits, and will exchange jackets, vests, wind jackets, as it was not clear that the sizing was men's. They also will give a account number for FEd ex ground for shipping.

He said someone was re-working the shorts with him? I relayed to him that many people may also be interested in a standard inseam of 8-9 inches, especially when racing or endurance riding as it gives compression to the working muscles.

He said they were re-working the waist rise issue only......any comments out there about how others feel about leg inseam? I personally prefer the functional longer standard inseam for practical racing and riding issues. Also leg and knee warmers often have trouble staying in place with shorter shorts.

Who is our spokeswoman on this?

Is there any way to put in a new order if we were unable to order originally?

I'm working with Scott on this. I have yet to see the clothing so I am waiting for the pro team order to arrive at my house so I can see for myself. I will address the following issues:

1. Skinsuit sizing should have been women's sized. I will be asking Scott to refund/exchange those who request.

2. Tiame shorts should have had black flatlock stitching. I will be asking Scott to refund/exchange those who request

3. I will look at the rise issue on the Prima shorts, if they do not match the sample that was sent us (which fit me fine and I definitely need rise!) then I will ask them to refund/exchange

4. I will look at the inseam issue for Prima and Tiame and see if they match the sample same as above. The samples seemed a good midlength between short and long so not sure what happened. Half the team like short and half likes long, so there is no pleasing everyone on this. I can only hold Primal Wear accountable to the samples they sent me, which seemed reasonable.

5. Vests/Jackets etc WERE clearly identified as not being women;s sized both on the website and in several emails and instructions from me (still posted on this forum) I won't hold Primal accountable for that as it is not their fault. However, if they offer to exchange I won't stop them!

More info as soon as I have it!

Should we contact Scott individually at this point or wait until the details of the exchange are worked out?

Super cute stuff! I love the bib knickers and jersey!

Thanks,

Katie

I'm curious as to where things stand in the exchange/return process for Primal team kit items that were sent back. I sent back my stuff to Primal nearly six weeks ago, and I know other members were trying to work out returns as well. Any news?

I sent mine back several weeks ago and I have not heard/received anything yet.  As for some good news.. I did receive notification that the gloves are being shipped.
