Hmm. Now that the snazzy new Bella kits are in, I can't wait to stop being incognito & race in the team colors!
But, my next race is a 40k TT. I wore my new jersey out on a test spin last night, & was very sad to find that there was a lot of fabric flapping (I could hear and feel it) at & around the sides (hip to midsection) of the jersey. (Downsizing is not an option b/c I have some nasty "swimmers shoulders".)
My question is...over that distance, will the anti-aero flapping really matter?
I know I could switch to a non-bella snug jersey for the race and/or eat my weight in Ben & Jerry's before the weekend...but if it's not r-e-a-l-l-y going to matter, then I'll represent & wear our "cool-la-la" logo What do you think?

I guess you could always pin the sides in for the TT...

Thanks for all of the suggestions.....to answer them all in turn:
pins--I'll try!
skinsuit--I'd love one! But since I joined after the special order, I'll just have to wait
sleevelss--I bet that would work, except for the mean USCF rule "1K2: Jerseys must be worn in all races and shall cover the shoulders." Not sure how carefully they enforce that one, but it's not worth finding out!

LOL, maybe they'd give you the swimmer shoulder exemption. I think I saw that in the rule book somewheres. I think they give you a time bonus too, for having twice the frontal area of your bikey competitors.
Slightly off-topic story: A swimmer-tri friend of mine went to do a bike fit. The guy who was helping her put all her measurements into a computer to work out the fit guidelines. He got it all in there, and the program returned an error. Please re-measure the arm length. The values you have entered are not proportionate to the other dimensions. Ha! Swimmer mutant Girl confusing the computer!
