Another Bella, Amy Fischer, in the Bay Area, just sent me a link to this post because she knows I'm moving to Boulder in early June. I've been a college professor for 11 years, but am switching gears, and am looking to establish myself as a freelance writer and copyeditor/proofreader. I do some writing for VeloNews and VeloNews.com regularly, but need other regular "gigs" to make ends meet once I leave California State University, Fresno, in 5 weeks.
If any Colorado Bellas (or any other Bellas since this type of work can often be done over the internet) are aware of any work in this regard -- freelance/contract work in writing or editing -- please let me know. I believe I can write and edit across a variety of disciplines, given my professional background. I teach Child Development, and have a research background, as well as some journalism training -- I also did an editorial internship with VeloNews last summer (that's how I've managed to get the regular freelance gig going with them).
Thanks for any ideas/position announcements you can send my way. While I've loved being a California and a Fresno Bella (and I'm going to miss my Bellas here TERRIBLY!), I'm looking forward to being a Colorado Bella soon!

OH! I forgot to say anything about the position announcement links! I'd actually be interested in the kind of work listed here, but in order to get a freelance career going, would not be able to work full-time. If you think your company would be open to someone doing contract work in this area, or even a consistent part-time employee with flexible hours (I will need to travel for writing assignments here and there), please let me know, and I'll definitely apply.
Thanks again ~
