I though I'd pass this around, it's from my boyfriend's shop and I'll probably lead a women's ride...
You can contact me or David if you're interested. If you just want to show up for the ride that would be awesome also!
We are looking for people to lead BMAsponsored rides this summer. I would like to see these rides help provide a little more unity to the local mountain bike community. We would like to cater to all ability levels so we need people willing to lead beginner intermediate and expert level rides. These group rides will support the BMA by adding a social component to the organization, encouraging advocacy and hopefully new membership. The rides should be a fun way to get together with like minded mountain bikers and share your favorite trails. You need not commit to leading more than one ride.
There will be a weekly ride for intermediate and expert level riders; if you have a good route and would like to lead one of these rides we need volunteers. I would like to have a different person lead the ride each week. We need not limit the rides to Boulder county trails. If you have a favorite route that you want to share here is your opportunity. It would be good to have rides in Summit County, Winter Park , Nederland (a group could take the bus up and then ride back) or where ever you think people would like to check out. We would need to use legal trails and promote good trial etiquette.
We are also looking for volunteers to lead a beginner ride from Boulder on a regular basis. These rides would help new riders learn where to go with there bikes, meet people to ride with, adapt good trail ethics and learn a little about the BMA.
We need volunteers to lead a women’s ride on a regular basis.
Look for updates on these rides on the BMA website, mtbr.com’s ride forum for Colorado ’s Front Range, and in Boulder bike shops.
