Hi,
I am moving to Granby/Grand Lake area next month. I currently live in New Mexico and dont know a darn thing about this area. My husband is working for the blm in that area, so off we go....
We are going out next weekend to scope out houses, etc..
But what about the riding?? Can anyone tell me about this place??

Hi Angie-
I live in Winter Park, which is about 20 minutes from Granby, 40 minutes from Grand Lake. I moved here about 2 months ago, but lived here also from 1992-98, so know the trails fairly well, and would love to show you around! There's a pretty fun MTB race circuit here in the summer, and a few 24-hour races nearby too.
I'd love to meet up this weekend when you are here, but I will be playing in Whistler (yeah!) for the weekend.

i love the winter park trails! they are my most favorite of anywhere in the country!! i have done the last winter park series race (point to point) and i plan on doing it again this year. i am sure i will be coming out to do some riding this summer (i am in broomfield right now) so i will let you know when that will be, and we can go ride!

Yay!!! That point-to-point race was always my favorite, until last year when I raced Downieville for the first time, which now holds the title of My Favorite Race, but the WP race series is a ton of fun too.
And have you guys seen this race series: http://www.racemsc.com/
Looks like some fun races there too!
I will be up here all summer, and maybe will set up some kind of MTB ride schedule for any Bellas who want to come up here from the front range
I am also interested in doing some riding in Boulder/ Golden/ wherever has drier trails than we do up here for the next few months - if someone knows those trails, I'd love to do some riding!
