Hi VBs,
I'm Beverley from Carmichael (Sacramento area). I just joined VB. I know a few current members both road and dirt.
I used to race both for about 13 years. Used to be a Cat 2 and used to be an Expert. I haven't raced in around 7 years.
I ride for fun now. I also like to pretend I race by doing all the local fast rides 
I enjoy it all and have a great time with everyone. Very glad to have joined VB and looking forward to meeting many in person.

Welcome and glad to hear you're out there having fun!!
So you're on a singlespeed? What do you ride?
I'm a downhiller, but as Yentna put it - "we're downhillers who dabble in singlespeeds".  It's such fun cross-training!

No singlespeed for me. Not yet at least. I inherited my name for my husband, OneSpeedDave. Why? Because he goes one speed out of the gate.
I ride a Colonago C-40 road bike and a Trek 9.8 oclv, hard tail. I LOVE both my bikes. My Colonago is actually a 2000. I still get tons of compliments on it. I've upgrated many components on it as well as the Trek.

I just joined the VB and noticed you're a member as well!! How cool!
Let me know if you want to meet up sometime for a ride, I haven't seen you in a long time! Probably because I haven't ridden with the OM that often since I moved to EDH.

HI Taryn, Great to hear from you. Glad you joined. Did you get any clothing? I missed the boat on that one and only have a pair of shorts and a long sleeved jersey.
I haven't been riding much lately as I started into the running thing. But that's not so say I don't get out there and ride from time to time. I've slowed down some but that's probably a good thing. Let's stay in touch about riding.

Well, I've been running but I haven't been feeling like getting in my car and driving to start a ride lately.
I was out there two Monday's ago. I missed last Monday because of work.
How's your riding and racing going?

I'm racing tomorrow with April and maybe Andrea in the Carerra de San Rafael. Dino and I just got back from a camping trip up in Humbolt Co. We rode the Tour of the Unknown Coast Route. Absolutely spectacular-- what a beautiful and climby ride!

Sher is a major stud-muffin!
