I joined Velo Bella last summer and I am just now getting around to introducing myself.

I love to ride both my road and mountain bike but don't have much time for either one since I am in my last year of grad school.  I started racing my mtb last year and it was great!  (Thanks to Miss Mary for telling me what the Sea Otter course was REALLY like before I had to hike up and down those sandy hills).  Because my "free time" is pretty limited, I have also done a few sprint tri's in the last few years.  I hope to focus more on the mtb this year as we are heading to Whistler in September for my graduation celebration.  Whistler suggestions (lodging, food, places to go, etc.) are more than welcome!!

As to why I joined, I have to share my story.  I was trying to decide between another local club and Velo Bella.  When I talked to a few women in the other club, they laughed at me and told me that I would have to wear all that stupid pink stuff if I was a Bella.  They pretty much helped me to make my decision and now here I am with the coolest jerseys ever in my closet (my husband gets upset that his kit is nowhere near as cool as mine!)

I think that is one of the best parts of being a Bella - we don't have to do anything!

Welcome to the Bellas!
