Heard of Stomach of Anger? They've been putting their creative talents to work for a while now, producing a nice line of eye-catching Ts, the most recent designs making superheroes of our favorite cycling stars. What does that have to do with racing? SoA sponsored and hosted last week's cx race in Lansing, Michigan. They not only put on a great race, but they put on a great race on a new, permanent 'cross course, and that is something to be excited about For now, the course is a fast, flat, twisty trek through an abandoned (and overgrown) golf course. If Michael's (of Stomach of Anger) negotiations with the city go well, the course will improve with time as more technical features and elevation are added. Go Michael go!
Back to the race... the fast, flat, twisty course provided lots of opportunity to work on fast, fearless cornering (or, at least, work on forcing myself not to touch the brakes & PRETEND to be fearless!). That was good, as I learned a lot about how far I can push the limit & not go down. Hooray! I finished the day 3rd in the A women's race (cat 1/2/3), and was happy to take home a snazzy Stomach of Anger T as my prize. And I love it. So, next, I have my eye on the JPow T ... Santa, are you reading this?
