It was cold and raining but I thought what the heck! My husband bought me a new cross bike for my birthday so I thought I would give it a shot. The course was technical and fun. No other women showed for the "A" or "B" group so guess what, I won! That was hard work. I received the most cash I had ever won in a race. I think I like this cross stuff.
I actually had a lot of fun and used the race as a learning experience for this type of racing. I need to improve my running skills and take off the water bottle cages.
