HA, I'm inspired by you guys - racing DH on short-travel bikes, Skinsuits and all that right after racing Super D..I'm just trying to keep up.
Oh, and just trying to hold our team record, which is: (for anyone who wants to know)
every single venue that one of the DH team members has participated in during 2008 has seen one of us on the podium for at least one of the events.  yummy!

Glad you made it back ok! Damn this weekend was a riot with you guys!
Oh. doesn't look good for worlds. It looks like, according to the UCI registration details that the only points awarded in time for any north american world cups was at the angel fire event. BOOOOO!!!!

Oh boy..that was right after the finish line...and the only time my rear saw the saddle...except for the time the bike bounced up and it hit me.

I'm so confused...
So does that qualify you for next year then? If not, what can you go to?

I don't think that does a damn thing for next year...although I'm not certain. I think they get wiped each year... ???? Anyone know?
Basically, what we all need to do is write to Frosty and say that if he's going to have an event that awards UCI points at an E1 level (or at all) that it should be well before the deadline for the North American world cup events.
I'm working on a draft of that...to follow and share later.
The bottom line the way it worked out this year is, if you didn't win at Angel Fire, you had to either go to a Canadian race that awarded UCI points in order to accumulate some, and then go overseas to accumulate more. $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
Although, that seems really bizarre, even for USAC and UCI. Hrm...
I could, however go to australia or austria to do one of the remaining two for 2008. I don't see that workin' out though. ;-)

Congrats Allie ! We had an awesome weekend at Nationals. It was alot of fun hanging out with everyone. I am hoping to get a race report up for Alicia and I soon.

Great weekend - Vermont certainly does NOT suck! I'm also working on a writeup, but with a dentist appt and 2 other appts today, it may be later tonight or early tomorow morning.
I can't wait for other pictures to be posted! So much fun was had. And, in case you didn't notice, Allie kicked butt! Woot woot!

Thanks! Alicia is doing great. She is running around like normal. She still is bummed about not getting to do the race.
I am doing much better today. My back is still pretty sore but I have been taking it easy. I am still suprised at myself for going back up and racing after crashing as bad as I did. I had an awesome time racing though. It was a really fun course.
It was alot of fun hanging out with everyone.
