Festival of Speed #2 race report -- not much to report -- just the facts:
Atlanta, GA -- Dick Lane Velodrome -- Saturday, 12 July.
The weather was brutally hot & humid.
11 women of all abilities from beginner to pro -- 1 open women's division -- racing started at 3 PM.
Women did: Scratch heats -- a 15 lap Snowball -- a 20 lap Points race -- a Handicap race w/the men -- a Miss-n-Out.
Good clean racing -- no crashes.
Omnium Results:
Leigh Valletti (VanderKitten) dominated once again, taking 1st place. Meow!
Olga Weeks (VeloBella) took an overall 3rd place; she is consistenly strong and smart on the track. Oh La La!
Jamie France (VeloBella) wilted in the heat, or had a hairball or something; she got a measly 8th place (1 place away from the money!).
