Sabine and I raced the international-style omnium yesterday at Hellyer. It was a hot, long day, but it was really fun. The event consisted of a 200m TT, 10-lap scratch race, 2000m individual pursuit, 20-lap points race, and a 500m TT. There were leeeengthy breaks in between the events, so plenty of time to recover. We even held off a strong pull from the beer cooler as the day lulled along and survived 8+ hours of chamois time (eewww!) to finish all the races.

I highly recommend doing this event if they have another one. A great opportunity to get in a good chuck of racing and try out some new ideas and tactics in a low-key, fun environment. I had a blast.

I've already rambled on about the event on my bloggie, so go there for the whole story. :)

That is awesome! I'm looking forward for the Masters Nat's, if you ladies are going to race it.
