Y'all are lucky, as I'm a bit too tired to be my usual wordy self.
Jeff & I got the bronze in the Mixed 70+ Tandem TT.
(39k course, 20 mph winds, luckily not too hot or humid today).
I only saw one other Bella, and gave a howdy-hoo, but didn't get to talk to her or meet her. I'll have to wait for results online and post her result.
Our brothers on VOS had a good day. John Novitsky won the 50-54 category. Jon Eropkin got 13th which was solid considering it only rained for 30 minutes today and it was all during his race.
Other local norcal riders (as we all feel like teammates being so far from home!):
Kevin Metcalfe 3rd
Craig Roemer 7th
Willaim Innes 3rd (I can't remember all their categories)
John Elgart & Larry Wolff 2nd (Tandem men 110+)
I saw Dawn Neisser with a medal but didn't get to talk to her to know what type it was. Jeff thought it was a bronze....
Narda got 4th in her category and she and Pete said to say hi to everyone, especially Linda & Erika.
I'm probably forgetting somebody.
I'll try to post some pics later. I need some more lemonade now.
Soni

some porta potties were marked "women only" and after using both types, i can report the only difference is the sprig of plastic flowers in the women's
both have a urinal with the warning sign
i guess unlit cigarettes are ok

it was so windy that they needed about 10 guys with ropes to hold up the balloony banner that was over the podium
tents flew across the course at one point (not anywhere near us)
and they had a nice staging/starting lane barricaded off with metal barricades and banners that kept blowing over

that's cara mccauley and andy applegate on the top step(he's an ex-pro who raced singles in the morning and got 4th in the 40+ race with a time about 2 minutes faster than our tandem time of 53:40)

I hate those urinals. When you sit down, they are right in front of your face.
the flowers seem nice though.

Hovering brings you even closer to the urinals
Sometimes you gotta sit. Thats when a multitude of butt gaskets are called for.
