Hi ladies!

The spring Velo Bella Voler kit reorder is now open. You have until MARCH 5th to order. Please, please, please do not email me on March 6th saying you forgot. If you want something- get it now. This is probably the last chance to purchase 2012 items.

A few important things to keep in mind-

These are the same kits ordered last fall. Same sizing. Same fit. Same art. Same.

For any category to run (short sleeve, triathlon, etc), there must be a minimum of 15 items ordered. If there are fewer than 15 items ordered in a category, we still may be able to purchase them for a higher price. If that happens, you will be contacted after the order closes so you can decide if it's worth it.

There is a link for items with a black background, and there is a link for items with a white background. Make sure you know which one you're on before you order.

There are several men's items included in the order for Bellas who requested them. Double check you're ordering what you want.

And, as always, there are no refunds or exchanges on custom clothing.

Here are the ordering instructions. Happy shopping!

Welcome to the Voler Online Ordering System

Your team has decided to use the Voler Custom Online Order System for collecting and processing your cycling apparel order. Please follow the steps below to place your individual order for inclusion in the overall team order.

1. Click on this link to access your team order site:
BLACK BACKGROUND http://www.voler.com/custom/ordering/li/2261
WHITE BACKGROUND http://www.voler.com/custom/ordering/li/2260
2. Click on “LOGIN” to enter your Login/Billing Info. Click on “Create Account” to save the information and to create your new User ID and Password. You will automatically be directed to the home page for your team order.

3. Click on “Add Items to This Order" to gain access to the orderable products page. To place items to your shopping cart, click on the item you want to order, then the options you want to select, then the “add to bag” button. You can choose to “View Your Bag” or “Previous Page” (to continue shopping) after adding each item. Repeat these steps for each item you want to order.

4. After placing the last item you want to order in your shopping cart, click on “View Your Bag” to display the items. Carefully review the items and make any necessary modifications or deletions. Because each item is custom built, refunds and exchanges will not be accepted. After you have confirmed your order is correct, click on “Checkout” to complete the secure checkout process by entering your credit card payment information.

5. After you have completed the secure checkout process, an Order Confirmation will automatically be displayed and e-mailed to you for your records.

6. After the order deadline date has passed, you will no longer be able to access the order site. If you have not completed the checkout process for your order by this date, any items in your cart will be removed. The Order Deadline and the Order Ship Date are displayed on the order homepage. The Ship Date is the date that your order will be shipped directly to your Coordinator for distribution.

Thank you for your order. If you have any questions, please call 800-488-6537 and ask for assistance from a Voler Customer Service Representative, or send us an email at sales@voler.com.

Hi ladies,

I have a medium 2012 black jersey from the last order for sale.

It is brand new, it just doesn't fit me.

Please help a sister out so I can get the correct size!

It was $72. I'm asking $65 and I'll ship it priority mail to you for free.

Please PM me.

Thanks,
Julia

can one of the tri Bellas chime in on sizing for the tri tops?

according to the last order notes the forza shorts ran small but the triton shorts were fairly accurate in size. Is that correct?

Thank you!

Hi Cathy,
I have just tried on the different shorts from a sample fit kit & you are right. The Forza fabric feels amazing, BUT it is definitely a compression fabric & tight, tight, tight. The other is a more traditional feeling spandex/lycra fabric. (Skinsuits: same deal, & the forza skinsuit is SWEET.)

Give Maryann at Voler a call for tips on sizing. Happy shopping :)

Thanks for posting the pics! Is your medium jersey the wrong size because it is too small or too large? I am not sure if I would be a medium or a large. A lot of times the arms in the mediums are too small for me even though it fits fine everywhere else.

It's too big. I knew I would be on the cusp of the sizes, so I went with the medium instead of the small. If you're on the edge, I'd suggest sizing down. I personally think the arms are pretty generous in these jerseys. PM me if you want more detailed fit info or measurements of the jersey. I often find that comparing the actual measurements of the garment to something you already have works well.

Ladies,

I met with my local Voler rep on Friday, and wanted to pass along a few fit notes. I'm not sure how much of this overlaps with the info in the previous posts from the SoCal fit parties, but I don't recall any info about the knickers.

KNICKERS
I've been wanting some knickers, and the rep only had a mens medium in the bib-version of the thermal knicker, the Artico fabric, for me to try. I am generally a medium in women's shorts (across the board with various manufacturers, however I'm a small in the Voler Triton shorts and a medium in the Forza shorts,,, see below), but these men's medium's fit me snug! This is a HUGE deviation from what their sizing chart would suggest (I weight 20 pounds less than their lower weight limit), so buyer beware on those. However, they are really nice and the material is fuzzy and yummy. The rep said that Voler simply took the patterns from the non-thermal Triton knickers, and used that same pattern for the MUCH thicker thermal fabric. Obviously, that causes some variation in the fit of the shorts, but they haven't bothered to change the sizing charts to reflect that. Also, I should mention, the knickers do not have the nice yoga waistband. They have the waistband that comes on the Triton shorts.

JACKETS
I also tried on a women's Windshell jacket and a Thermal jacket. They were both mediums, and they fit me snug in the armpits. I am in between a small and a medium jersey. I'm 125 lbs, bra size 34C or 36B and waist of about 27". If you are smaller in the chest/shoulder area, and your measurements lie within the size ranges, you'll be fine. If you are on the upper limits of the size ranges, you might go up a size.

SHORTS
I already own a pair of the Forza shorts in a women's medium, but I tried on the Triton shorts just for fun. They are WAY loose in comparison, and a small felt right, although I wasn't crazy about the fabric. If you like a really light fabric, this one's for you. I question how see-through it might be in a couple seasons though.

I hope this helps. It's a bit of a sting to order product that doesn't fit due to faulty size charts, and then you can't sell on the boards.

I think it would be uber helpful in the future if, at one of the fit parties, someone took some actual measurements of the garments and posted those. I know it's a lot of work, but it's great to be able to compare actual measurements to what you already have, because the manufacturers size charts never seem to be correct, and are universalized across all garments without account for variations in material and/or cut. I would have done this when I met with the rep on Friday, but he was an HOUR late meeting me and I was out of time! (Once he was there, he was very friendly and apologetic though...so props to Voler for having regional reps that are willing to meet with us!!)

Does anyone know if the Wmn's Raglan Thermal Jacket under the VB white-is actually white? It says color: "print"  in both the VB Black and VB white categories.

Thanks, Cynthia

Does anyone know how the arm warmers fit?  True to size chart? Are they women's specific or unisex?

I don't have voler arm warmers so can't comment on those.

I do have Sheila Moon arm warmers & HIGHLY recommend them. They are sized properly for ladies, so they stay right in place & don't slip down. (Plus they come in fabulous FUN colors and patterns)

Hi!

With the spring kit order deadline coming up quickly, I wanted to add a couple of comments about the goodies available for order, trying not to repeat what has already been covered.

The Michigan bellas had a fit kit (and of course, a fit party!) over the last week or so, and overall, we were really impressed by the quality of most of the Voler goodies available to us. A few notables:

#1 We all agreed that both the shorts & the skinsuits made with the "FORZA" fabric are dreamy!
-This fabric feels amazing & putting on these items made us feel like superheroes. (Surely feeling like a superhero will make us ride faster!)

#2 The RAGLAN WINDSHELL JACKET is sweet !!! Why?

- The techical fabric feels soft & it is super packable, so you can squish the jacket into a tiny corner of your jersey pocket on those days when the weather is uncertain, you are starting out on a cold morning, or want to be prepared for a cold mountain descent.

- The entire undersleeve area incroporates a fine mesh for added breathability ... a feature that I think some "competing manufacturers" would benefit from.

- In WHITE, the jacket will be nice & high-vis ...good for safety on the road & also for looking snappy during warm up at a race

#3 The Thermal jackets & vests are VERY thermal ...great for very cold weather riding, warming up at a 'cross race, standing on a podium on a cold spring or fall day (and we hope there are LOTS of podium opps this year!). But...definitely not something we would wear for high intensity racing of any type.

#4 Not surprising, CHAMOIS/pad choice is much too personal to come to any sort of consensus.

#5 GLOVES. PM me if you are thinking about ordering gloves.

Monica,

How did you find the sizing on the thermal jakets?  I see some people say they run little big and some others say they are tight across the arm pit area.  I normally take a Medium in everything but, am wondering if I should size up in the jacket.  Any help is much appreciated.

Hi! I did not try the thermal stuff for size, but another bella says it was true to size (i.e. she was happy with jersey, skinsuit, thermal jacket, vest all in the same size).

Ha! Last night I was just walking in the door, thinking about what to pack to wear for the first "Tuesday night time trial" of the year, and what do you know ... I spy with my little eye a package full of bella goodies including a brand new skinsuit :) The kits look great -- many thanks to Whitney for arranging the order & all of the shipping :)

I received my order yesterday! Thanks, Whitney!! Everything is snazzy and fits! I noticed that in my frenzy to add items to my order, I forgot to add black shorts!! If anyone ordered a small in the forza material and they don't fit, I will gladly take them off your hands. Let me know if I should post this in a different post.
