**HURRY! This order ends on Friday, Sep 4th! There will not be another opportunity to purchase clothing until Spring 2010!!**
Thank you everyone for your patience as we finalized a new bike sponsorship. We FINALLY have a clothing order for you. This order will be open for two weeks only, so please hurry. While we will have another clothing order early next year, this order will count for 2009 and 2010.
We have tried on many of these items from Primal Wear and they are fantastic. There is a sizing chart online and all sizing is very true to size and usual. We can all help you with any sizing questions you might have.
This order is for a PRE-ORDER only. You are ordering items that will be made by Primal Wear AFTER we submit this order. Expected delivery time is 8 weeks from when we close the order.
The prices on the website are estimates. The actual price you will be charged depends upon how many items we have ordered (the more we order, the cheaper our price will be!) In most cases, the cost will be cheaper than indicated. You will not be charged until the order is complete and prices are finalized.
Okay, happy ordering and here are the instructions!
*Please note that the code VeloBella is case specific!! You also may need to log out and log back in after creating your account.
**All items with "women" in the description are women's sized. All other items are men's sized.
***If you want National Champion stripes added to your order, email me after you order your items.
1. Click here to create your PrimalWear.com account: https://www.primalwear.com/cst_signup.aspx (you have to follow this link, the account creation link through the homepage is different and will not allow you to create your team account. Please note that if anyone on the team already has an account, they won’t be able to create their Velo Bella account on our site. These riders may either create a new account using a new e-mail address or e-mail or call us and we’ll update their account to a Velo Bella account).
2. Be sure to enter VeloBella (no spaces) as the team code. This is case specific and MUST be entered or the user will not be able to enter the Velo Bella team store. Please be sure that this text is entered. In past experience, every user who had an issue with the team store simply forgot to enter the team code when creating their account.
3. After the account is created, the user will be prompted to log in using their new account. Please do so and then click on the “Shopping Cart” icon on the upper left of the main page, below the Primal logo.
4. Click on the “Custom” link at the bottom of the left side navigation menu (do not click on “Custom Apparel” on the top of the page – this will navigate you away from the site. The correct link is on the left side.)
5. Click on Velo Bella.
6. Select, product, size and quantity, add to cart, proceed to checkout.
7. Checkout as with any on-line shopping site. Shipping and payment options will be given during checkout. Please note that this is a secure site and our site certificate is up to date. Some Mac users may see a warning that the site certificate is not valid – this is an issue with Safari, not with the site certificate. The site is secure.Last edited on Mon Aug 31st, 2009 08:46 pm by velobella

Thank you!!!
Do you happen to know which items are based on the women's size chart? Are the DH jerseys based on the mens size chart? And do we have any idea if they are going to be massively oversized like last year?
Any other comments on fit that we should know?
Thanks again!!

Okay, so I already got over-excited and submitted my order, but now I'm curious:
Are the bib knickers men's or women's sized? I ordered with women's size in mind, but then I realized the picture looks pretty manly. I realize that the picture is just a general idea what the final the product will look like and not the actual product, but I thought I'd check.
Thanks,
Lindsay

Hi. I seem to be doing everything right, but when I open the Velo Bella box the header reads: "This category is currently empty. Please check back soon for new Products... "
What should I do? I am hoping to order a LS mens' Large jersey (since I just scored a short sleeved jersey and shorts through another Bella). Thanks --Beth
UPDATE: I called Primal and they made corrections at their end so I could access the needed info. Thanks

Hi Everybody,
I too had trouble with that category is currently empty thingy. I logged in again and clicked on the velo bella icon and got to the goodies. Instead of "continue shopping" I just went back on the browser and got back to the main page of beautiful bella wear. I'm on a mac with firefox, so not sure if that is the issue or not.

The issue was that I'm on a home-cobbled Linux computer with Firefox. They helped me out, and I just placed my order for a LS jersey for cross season! Yippee!

I'm on a PC with Internet Explorer and I got the same message from the "continue shopping" button, so it may just be an issue with that button. I just logged out and logged by in again and clicked on the Custom link>Velo Bella to add further products.

They are just lycra, no fleecy lining.

They look great. I have a million (well three) questions.
1)The gloves are men's I assume, so I would buy a small if my hands are a women's medium?
2) The shoe covers are men's? Is a small appropriate for a women's size 8 shoe? ( I didn't see a shoe sizing chart.)
3) I usually buy my clothes a little on the small side ( I like them fitted) the size chart says I should get a large, but I really think a medium will work. (I usually buy a medium or a small so I am surprised that the chart suggests a large. ( I am not that far from the medium size and may lose weight.) Do the jerseys and shorts have any extra room in them or are they already very fitted.

(i'm double posting this from the old clothing posts)
Now that the order is open i'm curious about sizing. I generally wear a small women's jersey since i like the racier fit (I'm a pretty standard size 6) but according to the size chart I would be a medium. For those of you that tried the clothing on would you agree that the jersey's run small or should i just order what i always do?
I want to get a wind vest too which look like they are mens. Does anyone know what a men small and xsmall fit like?
Thanks for the help! I'm so excited for new VB gear.

If it helps, I'm usually a women's size 8, but with broad shoulders.
I ordered a men's small in the vest, and a women's large in the white XC jersey. Hopefully I got the right sizes - I'm going off of last year's fit and the chart.
Good luck!

Just a little FYI for bigger/taller women:
I had a VERY NICE chat with Alex at Primal today, to inquire about sizing and also to find out if there was a chance that a VB standard jersey (NON-DH) could made up in Mens' sizing (I usually take a MENS large in bike jerseys). Here's what I learned:
1. NO, Velo Bella jerseys are NOT available in Mens' cut. The artwork Primal was given is being formatted into a brand new womens' cut for 2009-10 and that's all there is.
2. However, the sizing chart they provide is quite true-to-size. I am 5' 7", 160#, with very long arms (I take a 32" sleeve in a man's oxford shirt). I have a bit of a middle-aged belly, NO hips and not much butt to speak of. In short, my torso is rather like a rectangular box, but with a 40" chest. Based on these measurements, Alex told me that the Womens' 2X jersey should fit me in both the chest AND the sleeve length quite well; in fact, she said, the 3X might actually be too big for me.
Based on our very helpful discussion I ordered the right size (2X) in a long-sleeved jersey and feel quite confident that it will work. Hope this helps others in a similar boat.

Yay new shorts!!!
I placed an order and they've already charged me, should I be concerned? I'm inclined not to be, unless I should be . . . ?
Nevermind, the charge dropped off!

Okay - talked to Alex and got the following sizing info:
Shoe covers - they don't have a size chart, but I wear a women's 10, and she said that would be a Medium.
Bib knickers - those are a unisex (men's) cut, and she said that since the size chart doesn't really apply to hips, I should be one size smaller than I would on the women's chart. So if you're, say, a Large short in the women's chart, you'd be a Medium for a men's cut.
She also said that the women's jerseys are race cut, so if you want them to fit loose, order a size up.
Hope that helps!

I also talked with Alex (she's SO helpful!), and I would like to know if there's interest in having a Velo Bella cycling cap made up? She's interested if we are, but I don't know how this works now that the order is open. It may be too late. Sabine??

Some info about shoecovers from Alex
The shoe covers are either a S/M or a L/XL – the switch occurs at a Men’s size 9.
They are a Lycra shoe cover with a zipper back.

Original turnaround estimate was about 8 weeks from the day the order closes. Has this changed? Just curious, as this would mean delivery date during first week of November or thereabouts.

Quick question. Are the regular Bib shorts a men's cut too?

Since the order is closing this week:
1. Will we be appraised of actual final prices before delivery?
2. Is it possible to use PayPal to actually pay? (I submitted a credit card but would prefer to use PayPal if possible.)
The design is great -- I REALLY like the all-black jersey and I look forward to wearing it at Cross Crusade in early November (hoping it gets here by then). Thanks again to Sabine and everyone else involved in the process.

| Since the prices listed on the page are estimates, and the price may go down if we order larger amounts of certain items, does this mean the listed price is the maximum regardless of how many item are ordered? I'm just checking that there isn't a chance they can go up since I have to budget a certain amount for my clothing order. Thanks for all the work that went into this.

Hey, this is Dana Lookadoo & I'm late! :-) Actually, I rarely check the email address to which I receive Velo Bella postings anymore, so I've been out of the loop.
Sabine, you still taking orders? If not, my loss and my fault.
