So I guess I can get my "Bah Humbug" on even earlier this year. As it is now September 30th, I see that, according to some major retailers it is now "Time for the Holidays."
Does this mean that since it's now available for purchase that it's now ok to decorate my home in all types of festive manor? Is it really acceptable to put up the huge inflatable snow-globe in the front yard when I'll still have to mow around it?
Just out of spite, for one year I'm seriously considering decorating my home in sync with what's "in season" according to retail stores.
Personally, any business that feels that I need to start thinking about the Holidays before the leaves have turned, fallen, or while there's a chance that the temperature will still top 80, will NOT get my business!
The earlier they start pushing Christmas, the longer I will procrastinate my shopping, just to spite them!
I'm a Christmas baby, and I love the Holidays, but it 'chaps my hide' that they bypass all the other holidays in order to make a buck and push their end of year sales goals on us!
